THE $100 STORE

TCHOTCHKE, BRIC-A-BRAC, KNICKKNACKS and ANTIQUES

Florida has a unusual history, largely connected by TOURISM.  The over 55 Condominium Communities attract many strange birds. SNOWBIRDS come for the season, SNOW FLAKES flit in and out during season (or did before COVID). COVID and working from home created SUNBIRDS, who change their residence to Florida to escape Harsh COVID restrictions in the High Tax/High Crime Northern States.

Diane moved back to Florida in 2018 and purchased two Over 55 Condominiums. Both came fully furnished and crammed with tchotchke, bric-a-brac and knickknacks collected over the years and left behind as owners moved on. 2180 Lake Osborne Drive - Mid-Century Modern - built like a fortress. Kingswood Phase 1 Inc. built in the ‘70s, known for cheap construction. Both now over 50 years old and eligible for inclusion in the National Historic Register.

Diane, a retired CPA, is obsessed with cataloguing and counting everything. Diane has no idea of the value of the tchotchke, bric-a-brac and knickknacks left by owners who moved on, but surely some are very valuable, if only because they are over 50 years old.

THE IDEA OF THE $100 STORE WAS BORN

Diane’s inspiration for the $100 store comes from the FOUND ART Movement. Folks like Timothy Horn scour Goodwill Stores for special prizes. South Florida is ripe with stories of folks who found Highwaymen Art a Garage Sale.

HOW DOES THE $100 STORE WORK?

Diane takes Hi-Resolution Photos of Items from all angles so EXPERTS can assess the value. Please let us know if the Tchotchke you purchase is indeed a VALUABLE ANTIQUE that you will treasure forever. We will celebrate your find with you.
