Ky Burt was CREATOR, HOST and CURATOR of the Woodstove Music House Concert Series at the Emerson Street House.
Ky is a Touring Musician and Singer/Songwriter, once based in Tucson, Arizona, Portland and Eugene, Oregon, now based in Bend, Oregon.
An update from Ky Burt (October 23, 2020)
I did complete my M.S. in Couples and Family Therapy at the U of O, debt free!
Lisa and I are doing well, we just moved into our house in Bend and are getting settled.
She works for Oregon State via distance and I am working at a private practice towards licensure and starting my own practice (2 years or so from now). We didn't buy a house (can't afford yet) and so are renting at the moment.
As far as the music update, I am getting ready to release a live album this winter as well as some live videos. I am going through an evolution, starting to write new songs, and continuing to find my voice as a songwriter. I am hoping to put together a new band here in Bend, but in the meanwhile I'm just getting my creative feet under me again after a whirlwind of two years in school. You'll probably see more about the live album on social media soon.
I'm glad you are still pursuing the Living Building / Living Community Challenge. I know how much of a pain and effort that has been.
How is Florida these days? My grandfather passed away about a year ago and it was hard to say goodbye to all the years I remember him and my grandma in Naples.
Music is Therapy. Ky will be as AWESOME as a Music Therapist.
Ky Burt is a Pacific Northwest based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist.
